We believe that maintaining good eye health is a partnership, which means we encourage you to ask questions and share any health info that could help us monitor, diagnose, and treat any potential vision issues.

Optometrist and Owner
I grew up on a farm in Southwestern MN and graduated from Windom High School. After picking rocks, walking beans and feeding cattle for 18 years, I attended the University of MN for undergraduate studies and after several grueling years of school, received a Doctorate in Optometry from Pacific University in 1993. I then served the Southern suburbs while on staff at Park Nicollet Clinic in Burnsville for 17 years before opening Complete Family Eyecare in 2010 with my wife Jennifer.
I have been married to Jennifer since 2003 and we have two daughters, Abigail and Isabelle (a.k.a. “Nitro and Glycerin”). When not looking at eyeballs, I enjoy waterskiing and lounging on Prior Lake where I have lived for 25 years and serve as a Prior Lake Association Board Member.
Optometrist
Dr. Sarah comes to us from Lakeville where she lives with her husband and 2 adorable (yet wild) kiddos, Hudson and Rosalie. She grew up in Apple Valley and graduated from Eastview High School. She later received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Hamline University before completing her Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University (just like Dr Steve, but many, many years after!). Before coming to Complete Family Eyecare, she spent 6+ years practicing in Edina. She strives to make every patient encounter a positive experience while assuring all vision needs are thoroughly addressed. On her days off, you can find her at the zoo, walking around the lake, or just busy running after her young children! She cannot wait to meet you and your family!
Our Staff
Manager and Owner
Jennifer was born in Virginia MN and graduated from Apple Valley (Valley Girl) High School. She married Steve at Shepherd of The Lake Lutheran Church in Prior Lake in 2003. Jennifer attended Methodist Hospital School of Radiology and enjoyed a 20 year career at Park Nicollet where she continued to work part time until 2016.
Jennifer has been the driving force behind Complete Family Eyecare since its inception in 2010. While in the clinic she is the ultimate multi-tasker, taking care of everything from answering the phone, special testing, and frame selection to insurance filing. When not in the clinic, she runs the Reinders household, taking excellent care of Steve and the girls. In her 15 minutes of spare time per week, she enjoys her flowers and gardening.
Kayla was born and raised in Prior Laker and is a true Prior Laker. She enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters and stepson. In her spare time she loves to cook, hang out with friends and family, and go boating. She LOVES watching hockey. Go Wild!!
Ashley comes to us from Park Nicollet where she worked as a medical receptionist in the Optometry Clinic. She was raised in Savage and went to Burnsville High School. She loves spending time with her fiancé and two dogs. In her free time, she enjoyes watching movies, attending concerts, and watching the Wild or Vikings play.
Markie was born and raised in Rosemount ,MN. She attended the University of MN and Southern New Hampshire University obtaining her BS in Environmental Science. Although her degree interested her, she found eye care to be her calling. Markie has been in the optometry field since 2015 and has assumed various roles including optician, billing, receptionist, lab tech and optometric tech. She is currently a certified optometric technician and enjoys this role the most. Her goal is to make you feel at home at every visit. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband, son, 3 dogs and tortoise. She also enjoys reading and anything outdoors, especially in the sunshine.
Born in 2005, Abby is the oldest of Dr. Steve and Jennifer’s children. Abby first began working at Complete Family Eyecare in 2015. Her first duties were helping Mom sorting eyewear frames and modeling kid’s eyewear for the website. Through her early teen years, Abby continued to model eyewear and also helped with weekend cleaning and other weekend maintenance duties around the clinic. While in high school, Abby changed roles and began working with Mom and Grandpa (clinic accountant) to complete Quick Books, payroll, insurance claims and other clinical support tasks.
Abby graduated from Prior Lake High School in 2024 and much to Dr. Steve’s sadness, moved to Tucson to attend the University of Arizona. While enjoying her new home in Arizona, Abby has continued her CFE book keeping and insurance work remotely from campus. Abby is currently majoring in Accounting and Business.
Taylor was born and raised in Lakeville, MN. She joined CFE in 2025 as our Optical Manager in Elko New Market. She has 4 years of experience as an optician and over 10 yeras experience in customer service. Outside of work she loves getting together with friends and family and hanging out with her cat, Luna.
